BijoDam Super Hard Carbide Triangular Scraper ▲ Scraper Tip (φ2) Tip Only, 1 pc.
Due to the rising cost of carbide, we are increasing the number of tips available.
This is an original carbide scraping scraper tip from our workshop.
We have two types of shank diameters: φ2 (actual measurement approx. 2.4mm) and φ1.5 (actual measurement approx. 1.9mm).
Images 2 and 3 are for both types.
Please refer to the title for the size.
The cutting length is approximately 28-31mm, as it tends to be short like a pencil.
Carbide material has a black oxide layer, so there may be slight variations in shank diameter and color.
The actual measured diameter is thicker than the nominal φ diameter because it is the diameter after cutting.
Instead of the usual basic scraper's house-shaped cross-section blade, this is a triangular pyramid with a 60-degree equilateral triangle cross-section, so it has three cutting edges, making it a cost-effective, budget-friendly scraper tip.
The mirror finish ensures good edge retention and sharpness.
It is a versatile tool for chamfering and deburring everything from soft materials like plastic, modeling wax, and urethane paint to precious metals.
While scrapers for engraving are mainly used for polishing work that scrapes away precious metals, this is a versatile tool that I also use for repairing urethane paint on fishing tackle.
It is made from domestically produced carbide material and sharpened by me, so it is naturally 100% domestically produced.
Notes:
The φ1.5 has a sharp taper to ensure blade length, so I don't think it's suitable for hard materials like metal.
Both φ2 and φ1.5 have a blade length of approximately 4mm.
The tip is sharp, and especially the φ1.5 can chip easily if the tip is hit.
The φ2 is close to the shank diameter of a rotary tool, but it is not meant to be used with a rotary tool or to be pulled with the tip.
Please be very careful when using, including potential injuries, by wearing protective eyewear.
This is a listing for the tip of the scraper tip only (cap included).
No reference objects shown in the photos are included; these are for illustrative purposes.
Please understand that there may be slight differences from the actual product due to the use of stock images.
Image 3 with the grip is an example of attachment.
Please prepare and use your own tools such as pin vises.
Top: Example of φ1.5 attachment using a 2mm Mitsubishi chuck holder Uni, approx. 400 yen.
Center: Cheap pin vise, approx. 250 yen.
Bottom: Example of φ2 attachment using Wave HG Multi Handle HT323, approx. 500 yen.
By applying heat shrink tubing to φ1.5, you can share the grip with φ2.
(For combined purchases, please comment.)
We will respond to initial defects, but blade chipping or breakage after use cannot be replaced.
Of course, re-sharpening is possible at our workshop.
